Two-pass reverse osmosis (RO) for pharmaceutical manufacturing is a water purification process that involves passing water through two stages of reverse osmosis membranes to remove impurities and contaminants.  In view of our client's pharmaceutical manufacturing application, Asia Supply designed and commissioned a 1,000L/hour two-pass reverse osmosis system to fufill this requirement. In the first pass, water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane, which selectively allows water molecules to pass while blocking dissolved solids, organic compounds, and other contaminants. The water that passes through this first stage is then further purified in a second pass through another set of reverse osmosis membranes, ensuring even greater removal of impurities. Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation were also incorporated to eliminate organic substances and harmful bacteria.  This process produces high-quality water with a high degree of purity, which is essential for various pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including formulation, cleaning, and preparation of solutions. The two-pass reverse osmosis system helps ensure the integrity, safety, and consistency of pharmaceutical products by providing water of the highest quality.
