Cyanide Reduction

Location: Singapore

The advanced oxidation process is a technique used to decrease cyanide levels in water.  In view of our client's water recycling application, Asia Supply designed and commissioned a 2500L/hour advaced oxidation process (AOP) system to fulfil this requirement. It works by using strong oxidizing agents, like ozone or hydrogen peroxide, to break down cyanide molecules into harmless compounds. These agents initiate chemical reactions that break down cyanide molecules into less harmful components, like carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas. The process relies on the powerful oxidative properties of these agents to degrade cyanide effectively. It is particularly beneficial in industries such as mining, metal plating, and chemical manufacturing where cyanide contamination is a concern. This method is effective in treating water contaminated with cyanide, often found in industrial settings like mining or metal processing. The process helps ensure water safety and compliance with environmental regulations by neutralizing harmful cyanide compounds.
